Jo Roy is a director, choreographer, and editor of bold, high-concept films that, together, have amassed over 100 million views. She has worked with top brands such as Coca-Cola, and she has collaborated with Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar-winning entities. Her expertise has earned her top industry awards like a Cannes Lion and many Vimeo Staff Picks, and her music video direction helped make history by breaking a Billboard record.

Jo is known for her daring and hugely ambitious ideas, such as Corpus and the Wandering, a short film made out of 50,000 iPhone videos of her body, and Meg Myers’ Running Up That Hill, an animation compiling 3202 pages hand-colored by children. Her interdisciplinary training combines a lifelong, intensive study of dance with technical filmmaking facility, resulting in a rare instinct for natural performance and intentional use of movement. When she isn’t making films, Jo likes to read, learn about foraging and sustainability, paddleboard, and collect flight suits.
